Launch of “Let’s Dream!” Open Forums
|
The Youth for Change (YFC) Program will launch several open forums under the theme “Let’s Dream!” which will take place through the cooperation of local partner organizations and through YFC’s local coordinators in the 22 Arab countries.
The aim of these forums is to allow youth to network and discuss the most pressing issues they encounter particularly in light of the current changes in the Arab Region. Each forum will include a workshop for participants to shape scenarios of the future they dream of for their countries. Youth will also discuss their role in those scenarios as well as the challenges that hinder their role as decision-makers and active leaders, in addition they will have brainstorming sessions to come up with solutions for such challenges.
The “Let’s Dream!” open forum will commence with an orientation session about YFC program and its latest activities and opportunities offered to youth. Furthermore, there will be a number of presentations by YFC mini-grant winners highlighting their projects and ways in which youth can get involved. So far this year, 42 development projects have been selected by YFC from 22 different Arab countries to be implemented by the end of 2011.
For more information about the “Youth for Change” Program or about the "Let's Dream!” Open Forum please contact the local coordinator in your country:
